1. Heat oven to 180C..line baking tray with baking paper.
2. Mix Quaker Oats, coconut, flour and sugar in bowl.
3. Melt butter in pan, add syrup.Mix bicarb soda with boiling water and add to butter/syrup.
4. Add this to dry ingredients and fold through.
5. Add chopped cherries and mix through gently.
6. Shape mix to walnut size balls and put on baking tray 5cm apart
7. Bake for 12 mins until risen and golden.
8. Allow to firm for 4-5 mins then transfer to rack. Store in airtight container.
