Oat Milk

Preparation:

Cooking:

1 cup of Oats

4 to 5 cups of fresh or filtered water

1 table spoon of light oil such as rape seed

1 tablespoon of sugar, or the equivalent of whatever sweetener you use

1 pinch of salt

‘Optional extra’, a few drops of vanilla flavour 

Add to basket

No cooking needed

Add the oats and 1 cup of the water to a blender and blend fast for a couple of minutes then add the rest of ingredients and blend for a further 5 minutes

Stain through a net/muslin cloth then pour into a glass bottle with a good secure lid and place in fridge.

Each time you use your oat milk you will have to shake it first as it settles

Use in tea coffee cereals or milkshakes/smoothys

It keeps well in the fridge for at least 3 days, probably a lot more but it never stays around any longer than that as I only make a litre at a time.
