Preheat oven to 200deg/gas mark 6
Sweat the vegetables and garlic in 2 tbsp of olive oil until soft
Place the minced lamb, oats, bulgar wheat, vegetable stock and chilli in a large mixing bowl. Add the cooked vegetables and bind all the ingredients with the beaten egg.
Line a large loaf tin with greaseproof paper and press mixture firmly into the tin. Cover with foil and cook for 40 minutes.
Mean while make the gravy with either chicken or vegetable stock adding two generous tbsp of redcurrant jelly and the chilli if using Thicken with cornflour
This recipes freezes well once cooked, it can be cut into thick slices and reheated as single portions when required. Lightly wrapped in foil at 170deg for only 10 mins.
